SPLINTERHEADS, limited release in November

SPLINTERHEADS

Check out SPLINTERHEADS (official selection of the SXSW Film Festival, winner of Best Narrative award at the New Hampshire Film Festival) when it has its limited theatrical release in NYC (November 6th), Austin, and Portland (both November 13th), with a wider release if the movie finds an audience. Which it should. Endearing and humorous coming-of-age story with original characters, fantastic indie-rock score by John Swihart (with some additional orchestral arrangements by me).

Check out the trailer at Apple.

And the blog of the writer and director, Brant Sersen, at SersenPark.com.

And the movie’s official website at SplinterheadsTheMovie.com.

How I Met Your Mother – “It Was the Best Night Ever”

How I Met Your Mother, CBS, Mondays @ 8:00pm

The latest episode of HIMYM, “The Sexless Innkeeper,” features some songs I produced (mixing, backup vocals, additional instruments) along with show executive producers/writers Craig Thomas and Kourtney Kang.

Check out the video of the flagship song, “It Was the Best Night Ever,” shown here in a special online-only video version, featuring Jason Segel and Nuno Bettencourt (of Extreme), along with the rest of the cast.

Also, search for the song on iTunes (with artist “Marshall”) for an extended two-minute version.

Gravitronix score released on Medaverse website

Along with a very warm shoutout from the Medaverse team. Much appreciated, guys, the feeling is mutual.

Check out the score here.

Gravitronix now launching October 12th

Just a one-week delay. No worries.

Check out more info at the Gravitronix site.

Gravitronix release date pushed

New date TBD, hopefully not too much of a delay.

Gravitronix release date announced! And it’s soon.

Gravtronix for WiiWare!

Gravitronix, the WiiWare game from Medaverse Studios for which I composed the music, will be released on Nintendo’s WiiWare download service on October 5th, 2009 — it will cost a mere 500 Wii Points to download.

Check out more info for the game here.

And here’s the trailer:

New brianhkim.com launched

The new, sleek, streamlined, web-trend-friendly brianhkim.com is up, with an overly large media player for easy access to music and video. Note the addition of video clips from Greek and How I Met Your Mother, in addition to full versions of the short films Changing Speeds and A Moment Lost in Time.

Links to MySpace and Facebook pages are also added. If you’re into that sort of thing.

Chances are you got to this blog via the link from said new site. So this post is probably moot.

Early Megabot press!

First, Megabot was mentioned on Whedonesque, the authoritative source for all things Joss Whedon.

Note that my name has been copied and pasted into the comment by the poster. This is a little exciting for me. If you really want to make my day, make a comment on the thread about how much you love the theme song.

Theme Demos – So Close, Yet So Far

Demoed for a couple of main titles this season.  Got to final rounds of decision for both, neither panned out.  But I’m pretty psyched about the tracks regardless.
